The day the fog finally lifted
Shared anonymously by Quiet Morning
For most of the relationship I genuinely believed I was the difficult one. Every argument somehow ended with me apologizing for things I could not remember doing.
The gaslighting was slow. It never arrived all at once. It was a hundred small moments where my memory was rewritten until I stopped trusting it entirely.
The day I wrote the first version of this story, I read it back and something shifted. Seeing the pattern on paper was the first time I understood it was never me.
