I had spent so long managing someone else’s moods that I forgot what I actually wanted.
They wanted a reaction. Learning to give them nothing was how I got my peace back.
When your reality keeps getting rewritten, a plain record of facts becomes an anchor.
I did not need advice. I needed one person to say, that sounds really hard, and mean it.
Every feeling I ever had was labeled an overreaction. It was not true then and it is not true now.
